Why an advertising-platform report is not enough
An advertising network understands impressions, clicks and its own conversions, but it rarely sees the entire journey to payment and repeat purchase. CRM, the website and financial records reveal different parts of that path. Attribution therefore begins with canonical events and matching rules, not with placing several charts on one screen.
Even one event name can conceal several meanings. A platform conversion, a submitted website form, a created lead and a qualified opportunity are four different states; they cannot be added together without a rule. The product needs a shared vocabulary and stable identifiers before it needs a report.
Every connection has a quality
A click may connect to an enquiry through a campaign parameter, an enquiry to a lead through an identifier, and a deal to revenue through a CRM record. Some links are exact, some are rule-based and some are missing. They should not be drawn as if they were equivalent.
A useful map exposes confidence, freshness and provenance. The user must be able to distinguish a confirmed journey from a probable one and see which connection or data source needs attention.
Time changes the meaning of the picture
Marketing systems evolve: campaigns stop, budgets change and leads may become deals weeks later. The Growth Map therefore needs a selected date and historical snapshots. A past view must not be recalculated as though today’s sales outcome had already been known then.
Period comparison also needs restraint. Seasonality, holidays, price changes and delayed sales can alter the picture without any campaign adjustment. A useful interface preserves the comparison context instead of reducing a complicated conclusion to a triumphant upward arrow.
Return begins with a clear boundary around money
Media spend, external AI-service cost, agency fees and product subscription answer different questions. Combining them without an explicit rule may produce a convenient but unauditable return figure. SintaSix keeps cost domains distinct and should show which components are included in a calculation.
Revenue is not profit either. If cost of goods, refunds or margin are unavailable, the platform must name the metric it can actually calculate. Honest analytics is not embarrassed by the phrase ‘insufficient data’; that phrase may be what protects the next decision.
The appropriate role for AI
AI can explain the observed pattern, group possible causes and suggest a hypothesis. It must not independently rewrite attribution, confidence or monetary values. The numbers and rules come from an auditable analytical layer; the model works with their presentation and interpretation.
A map should lead to action
Selecting a node or signal should open its real foundation: campaign, creative, funnel, conversation or sales source. Historical mode should preserve the date and context. At that point, visualisation stops being futuristic decoration and becomes a fast way to understand where a decision is needed.
